Fun with Mrs. VT!

Since even adults have trouble pronouncing Van Treuren correctly, I let my students call me Mrs. VT. Some have gotten cheeky and call me Mrs. TV. I love it!

Anyway, I wanted to share a fun project I did with my pre-K students the other day. I was inspired by a project I found on Pinterest (you can see that here). Since I did that one with the kids last semester, I figured I needed to come up with something a little different.

 

Here is what we did:

Here’s how we did it:

First I drew a peacock body with line on a piece of paper and made copies of it.

Then I cut out different shapes from construction paper.

Then I gave the kids glue sticks and told them to glue the shapes along the lines. At first I told a color and shape to choose and then I just let them go at it.
